House of Bamboo materials are used imaginatively to cool and clad metal or other roofing.
As described in the section on pergolas, Natureed® cladding dramatically cools plastic style roofing whilst allowing an attractive filtered light. Natureed® cladding will naturally also cool and clad roofs made from metal or other materials. As well as cooling, Natureed® can be used to give an outdoor ambience to an apartment or terrace eave projecting out over an outdoor living space, or simply bring character to eaves.
Palm fibre also works very well as a cladding under metal roofs. This material brings coolness and insulation as well as beauty.
Cane reed is also popular as a decorative roof cladding, as is bamboo ply. Sealing is advised when using these products.
In restaurants, Natureed® can be used effectively to conceal air-conditioning ducts. This can often be done by placing a suspended plane of Natureed® below the ducts but with lights above the Natureed®, allowing soft lighting through the Natureed®, whilst concealing roofing or duct details above.
