
At Kokoroya Restaurant in Maroubra, NSW, the design team set out to create a dining space that felt warm, authentic, and deeply connected to nature.
By incorporating House of Bamboo’s natural bamboo poles, the restaurant achieved a striking balance between modern hospitality and traditional craftsmanship. The bamboo elements not only add texture and visual interest but also reinforce the restaurant’s ethos of sustainability and cultural authenticity. Much like other House of Bamboo projects, Kokoroya demonstrates how bamboo can elevate a commercial environment—transforming it into a welcoming retreat where design and dining come together seamlessly.
