Bamboo Rod Screens

Our bamboo rod screens are created from either traditional bamboo poles or thinner “Tonkin” bamboo. They provide one of the most versatile alternatives to traditional timber fencing.

Whether creating a completely new fence or covering up an existing, but unsightly fence, bamboo rod screens bring a fresh, new natural look.

You can also use our bamboo rod screens to create privacy screens that either prevent others from looking into an area in your home or garden or to mask an unsightly area that you no longer wish to look at.

Being extremely lightweight, bamboo rod screens also make for an ideal ceiling or shading solution. For your alfresco dining area, you may wish to choose the thicker and stronger poles for a bold and dramatic look or you may prefer the thinner Tonkin rods for a more refined and elegant effect.

You can use bamboo rod screen as a simple and effective way to clad an existing Colorbond, chain wire, timber paling or brick fence. And, as our bamboo rod screens have no footholds, you can also use them to screen off pool areas to make your pool compliant with pool certification laws.

When used indoors for ceilings, our bamboo rod screens make quite a statement, from resort style to something more contemporary. Outside, when you install them in a pergola, or over a deck or verandah, bamboo rod screens are perfect way to block the heat of the sun while letting natural light and refreshing cool breezes circulate.

Being extremely lightweight, bamboo rod screens are easy to install wherever you wish. You can choose from a variety of different styles, colours and sizes. You’ll be glad to know that our screens can be custom made to suit any sized area you are wishing to screen off or cover.

Bamboo rods screens are not designed to be standalone structures and are intended to be used as an add-on to existing fences to increase height or create a no foothold solution for pool boundary certification. They are a simple and cost-effective solution for meeting pool safety requirements, but it’s important to check with your certifier before making any changes to ensure compliance with local regulations.
