Project Details
The owners of this stunning waterfront villa wanted to utilise sustainable materials in their project and chose to use bamboo over timber for the exterior cladding of the property. House of Bamboo® worked with their architect and designer to develop a bespoke batten ceiling concept that was beautifully executed by their builder. This home is a beautiful example of how you can blend contemporary design with natural elements. Its location exposed to light and water enhances the warm tones of the engineered bamboo and showcases the rich natural ambience you can achieve with this material.

Project Details
With magnificent views of Middle Harbour, two living pavilions rest above a stone podium housing five bedrooms. The highlight of this build is the steel structure that tethers the pavilions and then extends into a dramatic canopy to protect the outdoor entertaining area from sun and rain. The use of our natural cane reed provides a soft natural and textural feature that allows the building to merge with its surroundings. Looking through the landscaped courtyard towards the front door the cane reed material lines the ceiling beautifully and provides the perfect backdrop to the garden, blending natural elements with man made materials.
